I am watching the video you posted right now...I totally understand what you say about how weird it is not to remember chunks of your life!

What an awesome story about taking your issue to Congressmen/Government officials! That is very commendable. You sound very self-confident and you are a wonderful self-advocate!

I attended a brain injury conference all day today in Los Angeles. It was so cool to be around so many people who feel the same passion about brain injury as we (you & me) do!

Anyway, I like to believe that brain injury suvivors are alive for a reason. Maybe the reason for us is to educate the 'powers that be' so that the upcoming brain injury survivors, recover more easily and more successfully.

;)

I hope you are recovering well...

that is a really cool outlook you have (helping other tbi survivors so they don't make the same mistakes you did).
but why the noose in the video???

Craig, your story is both heartfelt and captivating> It explicitly expressess the lack of TBI/ABI and disability awareness so prevalent in our community. Your experience is very helpful as a learning tool for everyone. I am part of a brain injury community BIRRDsong and would love to have you come and share your story with our group. We can be reached on the web; birrdsong.org and myself @president@birrdsong.org. You are a real trouper with great courage and a fighting spirit. I know greater things are in store for you. You are a intelligent young man whom life has yet to reacon with. Keep up the faith. You are not alone.

Hey Craig:
We have had the same type of head injury AND RESULTS. Your story would be perfect on my website: http://SharingMiracles.net. Go to "Share your miracle page" in the center click on "Share your miracle" then Copy and Paste your story!!! Craig, I started this website for people like US... I even wrote and published a book called, "MY MIRACLE by Rodney Barnes." You can see it on SharingMiracles.net, BarnesnNoble.com (and in stores), and other websites. This book talks about my whole life: before, during, after, and up to this point since my major Traumatic Brain Injury, coma, and eventually relearning life all over again at 21... It is very inspiring, educational, gives hope and understanding (about life, TBI's, God), and SO MUCH MORE. Several people even mailed the book and a letter to major TV shows.

I AM VERY HAPPY TO HEAR ABOUT THE WAY YOUR LIFE TURNED OUT. YES, ITS A STRUGGLE, BUT YOU OVERCAME IT. CONGRATS!!!

Craig --

Your story is truly amazing and puts life into perspective. I had slurred speech for a few years with seizures, and lucked out and stopped having them over time.

Craig-
As with most TBI survivors, our stories are similar.
Since I have a severe speech impediment, and sound as though I am drunk or "on drugs", I do not speak too often.
I hope that you and others will email me at: PatrickONeillPhD@aol.com
Too, please visit my web site at: http://www.patrickoneillphd.webs.com/
Thanking you in advance for your immediate attention to this matter,
