An encouraging story...
I am more than honored to have the privledged to share my story in hopes that it will give encouragement that situations can improve, faith to have in oneself and that accomplishments are reachable and that although things may seem bleak, that there is a glimmer of hope and a chance to prove to yourself that you can do all things that you perservere through.
My story starts on Sept 5, 2003 on a clear, sunny day driving down a…

Short little run by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details
Nice and sunny out today. The air was a little windy with a nice smell of salt in it.
It felt so good to be out and moving again. I hit the gym after a short warm up. Feeling good I then decided to go for a brief little run.
I have had a sever chest cold the past 5 days or so on top of some other…

My Float Tank Expierence
I had my first experience in a float tank (Isolation tank) yesterday. I have been on a bit of a search as of late to find new ways to “work out” my brain. I mean if I can run across the Country, if I can complete an Ironman, if I can bush my physical limits. What will happen if I push my cognitive limits?
I have worked out my brain with programs, from simple things like Sudoku, Rubik’s cubes, Luminosity and lots of…

March 13, 1968 my Brother's TBI
There is a clip in the movie KunDin about the Dalai Lama, where his holiness talks about the fact that the course of one's life can change with the snap of a finger.
How true this was in our family. Not just on one occasion but many.
On March 13, 1968 in Los Angeles, California, my brother, after only working at a Standard Oil Company Service Station for two weeks, and attending pre-law school was robbed by two…

[This post, this blessed, difficult post has been a long, long time in coming. I have wrestled with it, mulled it over in my head, let it rest, wrote and re-wrote countless times. As with all things TBI, emotions zap us of precious energy. Oftentimes, the feelings just need to be until the TBIer finds strength.]
