My name is Brian and I'm a 21 year old junior at PSU - University Park. My path to get to the school of my dreams has been a bit unusual. Over four years ago (11/7/04) I drove the normal 1 hr voyage from my house to Penn State in order to watch the PSU vs. East Stroudsburg basketball scrimmage. I am a big time sports and Penn State guy, and the game went well. We won in blow out fashion and I was off in my car again to get home. I pulled into Sheetz to get gas and a snack for the road. I'm sure… Continue

TBI Raiders Newsletter updates

The emails I get from Justice For All and other national organizations who have given me their permission to post their emails in the newsletter...due to the fact I either forget to post them in the newsletter or don't have time to update the newsletter, I have created a forum for JFA and will be creating other forums for the other newsletters in the near future. So check it out at TBI Raiders Message Board.

I met with a group of friends tonight. During the time together, I felt led to share some of my struggles as a traumatic brain injury survivor with a friend of mine. How I sustained my traumatic brain injury

How I sustained my Traumatic Brain Injury.

On the night of August 11, 1967 my dad, mom, brother and myself were in an automobile accident that forever changed our lives. Per my injuries, when the Cadillac hit our Volkswagen Beetle I was catapulted from the back seat. In the process of being thrown forward I fractured my left femur (thigh bone) on my dad’s bucket seat and then made direct contact with the inside of the windshield. Consequently, I sustained an open skull fracture. I… Continue

Brain Injury Treatment

As I wrote on this Forum, I've worked with people suffering from TBI, concussion, and stroke utilizing something called pulsed energy therapy (or PEMF therapy). This particular modality has been proven to work as seen in 100's of research studies, numerous clinical settings, and with TBI people in the real world. I've talked to people in the brain injury community, I've written an article in the BIA of Oregon and sent the same article to over a dozen BIA branches across the country. Only the… Continue
