What do you find most difficult living with a brain injury
We have TBI and eveyone should know we are people too! We are intelligent and we are are here, right here, right now!
I have always believed that the big problem with people is not in succeeding at something, but in deciding what they feel is merits devoting their lives to. The problem is not one of skill but of making the selection or choice, once and for all, on which point of the compass we wish to chart a course based on truth. The other big difficulty is in our loss of vision, brought on by the association and familiarity with the world. There isn’t a occupation in the country which isn’t loaded with opportunity, if we could only see the opportunity under our feet, in the God given job we now have. God wants us to be “Creative” for His glory! The LORD GOD Almighty is opening and closing doors of opportunity to achieve HIS eternal purpose.
To many people, life is a complex field of seemingly independent entities and dealings and relationships without God. It is difficult if not impossible to break the chain and set a new course of truth when you don’t know what you don’t know because of preconceived ideas. I can state that because that’s exactly where I was in an early phase in my own life. Now I live for God and not so much for myself. But choice is necessary! Let go and let God! It is often a difficult thing to do because of “fear”. Often people do not want to change and accept “Truth” because of pain and disappointment they might encounter along the way. Remember the Bible says so read it! Accept the challenge! Matthew 28:18-20
People forget how fast you did a job - but they remember how well you did it. - Howard Newton
Will others remember us?
I would highly suggest investigating a few of the agnostic/atheist websites available.I know how strange it sounds in a T.B.I. situation but give it a try.Contempt prior to investigation is often ignorance. There are a lot of sites out there with videos which really seem to help with a change of view. Religion for me was one of the biggest stumbling stones in developing a sense of focus on priorities.I am appalled at the lies and usury used to attract sheep into the flock. I have been fleeced enough.Another consideration----- What if everything you ever learned was a lie? Social Security,The Legal profession, Love, The Medical Field, Drugs, Government, Pharmaceutical prescriptions, and on and on. What do you really know for sure anyway ? Skepticism and mistrust of the paths is often paralyzing in recovery. No Pain and no Gain? Be Aware.Peace
Hi Roy, I thank you for sharing Jesus with this group. I also want to comment on your post of June 16th that the truth about approval is we won't get it. It's important to note that we won't get it here on earth but when we enter into eternity I look forward to the Lord saying "Well done, my good and faithful servant." It doesn't matter what others think of us. What is important is that the only One that does matter is the One and only #1!- Alpha and Omega forever and ever!
All cases are different in what is wrong and how it is best dealt with. But i wonder if anyone has a thought on making themselves better internally. Is it possible after brain injury to evolve and just step back into life. Is it just mind over matter to accomplish such things. My case is bad in that i have no memory of recovery process or how i came to this stage but im here. Memory issues and social anxiety are the real issues. See More
