Some day i even might have hope again

Hey Zarah (like the name)...

Sorry its taken me a year to respond to your friend request.  I moved up to the mountains just a few days after you sent your request.  I needed to "get away from the world"  The new house, the new routine and new doctors has really kicked my butt.  Anyway, trying to get back into things with the group.  So, how are you... a year later?

Rick

I just wanted to say, Zarah, that "loving Ourselves" is essential in life....Sometimes, we "live thru" our mate's life experiences, and so forth...and we "forget" who we even are....Our goals in life....out private likes, dislikes....So the harshness of a separation feels like we're loosing a part of ourselves.....What what you said "loving Outselves" - that is "essential" in life....."Happiness" is everything in life......When your "truly" happy....with yourself and others.....But yourself, first and foremost....I mean, when Your happy with yourself....who you are....your life....."nothing bothers you....I've learned in my life...I'm 56 years old....that "happiness is everything" in life.....When your happy, you become more understanding of others and their feeling.......and man, your just "happy".....But you brought up a good point....Thanks....Phil E.

Hey Zarah,

My son (the one in the photos obviously) is still struggling with many lingering symptoms after his acute TBI. He has never seen a neurologist or neuro-psychologist, but is tired of feeling tired, having severe mood swings, and aching legs...to name a few. So, he has agreed to see a specialist. It's more difficult for guys at this age to admit that things aren't going well and they need help. He only works part-time and lives with his pit bull, Marley. I wish most of all that he could talk with a group of young adults how have been through TBI. What kind of doctor did you see??
