Hi Southern Girl-
I just wanted to add that i was finally diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease which affects the thyroid. I have an alternative GP and she tested my thyroid peroxidase which was sky high. Although I thought this might be one of my issues, I still have problems staying asleep. It is just an idea. The pituitary gland in the brain controls the thyroid and when my brain was shook so hard, I think there may have been more damage that was not looked for. The initial response to trauma is just to keep you alive and nothing else. It is years down the road that other issues begin to come to the surface.
my major was in Occupational Safety and Health...I graduated in 2003 with 2 children..at the time I was able to handle being a mother and going to school full time..but now I cant even read a paragraph and remember what I just read unless I re-read it 3-4 more times ...would love to go back though..I hope you go back and finish what you started?? If I can help just let me know..
