How does an Assesment work and How does it help?

Vocational assesment which takes about a week.i'm doing one of those. I've been applying for Disability SSI but they haven't accepted me  , i guess i could do some simple job but i'm not fit for a fancy high pay career.So if i have an assesment done, it will show that probably i can do something but it wil be nothing but a low wage job  and that won't help me be able to live or have an apartment cause apartments etc cost too much and i'm not yet accepted for SSI. So, i iwll be working but…See More

John,

This is some new information which offers some reason why social interaction is SO important;

Mental Health Could Be Affected by Social Isolation—Study:A new study suggests that isolation can result in reduced production of myelin— a protective nerve fiber— and could contribute to developing mental illness. Myelin acts as an “insulating material” around the areas of nerve cells that send impulses to other nerve cells. Production of the fiber is controlled by nerve cells called oligodendrocytes, but is lost in diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Abnormal myelin has, in other studies, been linked to mental illnesses including autism, anxiety, schizophrenia, and depression. The study, published in the journalNature Neuroscience, showed that mice who were deprived of social contact had reduced myelin production. Researchers stated this demonstrates that formation of oligodendrocytes is affected by environmental changes. (News-Medical.net, 12/1/12)
