What Happened to Justice?

My traumatic brain injury resulted from an assault 25 years ago. It occurred in a city and county away from my home. After leaving the hospital, I found out that the perpetrator was the son of a high-ranking official from that town.

My father worked as an assistant chief of police for a metropolis, in a different county. The city in which my assault unfolded, was not going to prosecute the individual for his crime. Somehow, my father convinced the prosecuting attorney to press…

Life After a Brain Injury: My Dirty Secret

I updated my post on July 3, exactly 25 years after the event.

What does a Burger King Parking lot, an empty beer bottle, and a hunting rifle have to do with my story of surviving from a head injury? Everything, I had spent over 15 years seeking the truth and piecing together…

Hi Jim:

I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties you have been encountering. I am always available to talk to. I do encourage you to stay focused on what you want to achieve in your life and pursue those things. I guess we can look at this as maybe a new lease on life for you in a sort of way. Please keep in touch and have a great weekend. In my prayers and blessings to you,

Debi

Hi Jim:

I was wondering how things are going for you at work and if there has been a positive change at all. I think the goodness of others is greatly taken advantage of given certain situations and yours was as well. My prayers go out to you and your family....

Jim:

I am sorry to hear that this happened to you. It is highly unfair and just plain mean to have something like this exposed at your expense. I am sure your whole intent was to have friends like you that you can relate to and discuss openly about certain things going on with you. There is nothing wrong with that and you need to know that. Your personal life is your privacy and no one else's unless you invite them into it. Shame on them if they misuse your information for their benefit. I am here to talk to anytime you need it. Your friend and blessings...
