There had been three important people very close to me,
That had died several years ahead of me that I got to see.
Some call it a near death experience, it occasionally happens when we die,
I got a hug from all three, yet they told me I must come back and said good-bye.
I remember telling them how tired I was, they said that they already knew,
They told me there were very important things God still needed me to do.

I am watching your face,
I listen closely to your words.
I think I know the answer,
But I wait and watch; just in case.
Friends all say that I look the same,
They say that must mean I am fine.
I smile and nod and play the game,
It is easier to just pretend.
But the truth is I must try very hard,
Or they will know I am not the same.
They are fearful of that knowledge,
So I continue to play the game.

There is entirely too much noise,
there is no way I can possibly last.
I am trying very hard to understand,
but the world is moving way too fast.
Soon there will be nothing but a blank screen,
so forgive me if I cannot say the right word.
No matter how many times this happens,
I know it is real, even if others think it is absurd.
It is like not having cable on your television,
there are only a couple of channels that I can use.
