Can't watch TV, fireplace, look at chandalier, anything bright and glittering or flashine hurts

Does anybody have any experience with this that can help me understand? It has been over six months and I am just now able to use the computer, but only for short time periods.

So sick and tired it hurts
Seems like every time I try to do something I used to take for granted, it comes back to kick my ass. I feel like I still want to keep trying to do the things I liked such as going out to dinner on a Saturday night and then I end up spending the next day in bed, looking out the window at another beautiful day that passes me by.

Many thanks for all the responses I recieved to my story. I wish I had the energy to answer all of them.
Wiff has been my primary caregiver and faithful friend over the last six plus months. I know he misses his long walks, playing fetch and trips ,to the dog park and rides in the car. He has gained a few pounds, but gotten used to the lethargy.

The Story of My Brain Injury
For my friends and family who were kind enough to ask about what happened to me, after I was finally able to use the computer and facebook, here is the best I can do. Maybe Scotty can fill in the blanks since he was there.
It was our third year to spring skiing in South of France. This time we rented a great spot at the base of the mountain in the village of Val d'Isere. Conditions were ideal and we skied as much as our bodies would allow. It was the last run of the day…

I only have pictures of the person I used to be. Maybe some day I will be able to do something and be somewhere that gives reason for someone to take picture of the person I am becoming.

I really do not know much, but like someone said, we have been through it, and I want to help others, so hang in there Darcy . Have someone help you in finding a good Dr, for your condition. Darcy, how are you and Wiff doing. As a friend I wanted you to know that you are thought of allot.... Keep wearing the dark glasses ( they look cool ! ) What do your Dr.s say about the light and flashy image problem..... wish I was more help, but I encourage you to hang in there, my sensitiveness is better than 4 yrs. ago.... as other little off things are clearing up..... but like I said, I wish my thought process was clear but I work at it every day.......the word I hear here allot is leaning to compensate..... Hope you get feeling well enough for a walk with Wiff. My animals sure help me...... I will start signing my name as rancherglen, as that came up on a comment I left on David's photos.... and that is what a preschool teacher calls me, each year when she brings the kids up..... oh yes, the first year after the injury, I could not handle having the tour on the farm..... but now it is ok.... enough,,,, toy, rancher glen

- Darcy, thank you for your kindness, I appreciate your friendship! I probably do not read everything correctly, but no, my injury was from a fall off of a trailer at work... I am so sorry about your ski injury.... but maybe some day.....again.... Last season was my first skiing and I hope for a few days this season. Will think of you when I go, with healing thoughts for you....Lately I have had more head aches and forgetfulness than normal.... I can't remember what it was like to have a clear brain day of thought processes ( pre-injury ) but have accepted the new me and as I said once, good things have come from "this". I am slower to judge people, and have a heart for all survivors... I am glad Craig showed me this site ! Hope I remembered the name of your dog correctly, our Gracie is a wonderful side pal ! Was so good to hear from you, Best wishes always~

- Darcy, I truly enjoyed your pictures and comments,,, and hope the eye thing gets better....I have trouble with fatigue, and if I fill a day full, I pay the next day..... Our son is a pilot in Va, and I feel for you if you can't fly anymore.... I do not drive much,anymore....I have started to ski again, with the "Dream Program" and enjoy the nice weather days....
