Hello friends and peers,I am making a new documentary film on artists with brain injury who live in the Pacific Northwest. After my TBI in 2010, I thought I could not find a fulfilling life. I had to let go of my professional career. I turned to my old career in the arts, and that has given me a new, wonderful life.Since I can't interview all of you for my film, would you consider participating by posting your thoughts, art, essays, videos, pictures, etc. on my film's blog? Profile Information

I am a brain injury Survivor, Family/Caregiver or professional
Survivor, Professional, Advocate
What do you find most difficult living with a brain injury
I have sustained multiple mild TBIs that have finally begun to catch up to me and wreak havoc on my life. My career as a speech-language pathologist was interrupted 10 days before it began by a TBI, and I still cannot work. So I spend much of my time on a board of directors and volunteering with a brain injury support network in Portland and mentoring individuals.
are you on another social network such as facebook, so we can varify your a real person trying to apply
I want to participate in discussions. Also, my US rep is on a Neuroscience research caucus designed to inform public policy based on research, but I do not see him addressing brain injury.

Wow~  Cheryl,   thanks  for   befriending  me.... When  I  first  flew,   my  sister  go  a  pass,  which  was  nice,  but  yes  it  is   hard  because  I  am  easily  confused,  and   feel  dumb  asking  lots  of   questions.  I   admire  you  for  your   research and  your  work  with  the  "cause".  and  your  degree!  My  doctor  told  me  to   do  routine  work,  which most  of   the  ranch  work  is,  but  volunteering  at  the  hospital  is  my  passion....  I  love  people  and   helping  others  is   a  great  way  to  help  yourself....  I  have  a  greeting   desk,  and   also  help  with   paper  work...  Now  I am  getting  way  off  track.  You  probably  fly  more  than  most ?  so   good  luck  and   keep   working  on   "them" . Hope  your  career  comes  back.....  keep  in  touch.....  sometimes  I  may  sound   really  off  the  wall,   and   thanks   again....
