Oh Brit: I forgot to say thanks for accepting me as a friend. I also wanted to finish what I was trying to write when a note came up saying I had exceeded my 2000 word max.

What I wanted finish saying was that the gov't. has no clue on how to deal with our spiritual needs. That is why they have turned to Campus Crusade/Military Ministry. I am the facilitator of our Combat Trauma Healing Life Group at Life Center in Spokane and I also facilitate a Group at Fairchild AFB in Airway Heights. Our Healing Manual is the first and only successful tool of it's kind that I am aware of anywhere. It is based totally on God's Holy Word but doesn't beat anyone over the head with "religion". It just opens the door for us to begin to get rid of all the pain, trauma, suffering, hurt, anger and bitterness that many vets experience as a result of combat/PTSD/TBI, etc.!! Just let your cousin know I'm available to talk, one combat vet-been there, done that-to another combat vet.   In His Service

Hi Brit: Apparently you love horses as much as me, my daughter and grand-daughter do. At least by the picture I figure you'd plead guilty to the charge. We all three are crazy over them. In fact, at one time we had 15 of them over here on my place. Sometime I would love to visit with you about horses and compare notes.

Brit, I sure hope you can get your cousin to call me. Either one of you are welcome to call at anytime at 509-951-8430. If I don't answer I'll try to get back to you as quick as I can. Let your cousin know that I am an old Nam combat vet and I've been dealing with this PTSD for 45 years. Neither the VA nor the military have the slightest clue how to deal with either one of these ailments. They know that our human body is made up of four basics sections or needs. We have:

  • social needs (we are gregarious creatures by nature-normally we are not loners or hermits.)
  • physical needs (treat with medication, surgery, orthotics, etc.
  • mental needs (provide phsycological assistance or guidance as we can, will or are able to take advantage of it.)
  • spiritual needs (unfortunately, we have a government that adheres to the stupid concept of 'separation of church and state' so they have absolutely no clue how to deal with our troops' spiritual needs. Over 53% of the entire Dept. of Defense budget is now spent on dealing with mental issues that they don't understand.

Hello Brit,

I do my best to at least say hi to everyone on this. I had TBI twenty year ago and know what it's like to have no one to talk to!

Always,

Hi Brit . The flowers are blooming the weather is georgeous . Spring is a beautiful time of year. I was just at a birthday celebration last night . I turned 55 this week . I have to go back in to work tonight . Night shift. I am one of the fortunate people who have managed to get back to work after my ABI.
I actually am south of you . Where I live is almost even with the north boundary of California. . The north shore of Lake Erie.
