I too am a martial artist. Strength is not an issue. As I am very strong and can stand easily. I stand everyday, and walk in the pool at swim therapy. I am told I have no 'TRUNK' balance and that I have Ataxia. "

Hi all. I am new here. I was in a near fatal accident nearly eight years ago. I had the grave misfortune of colliding into six dead Wild Boar on highway one, just outside of Carmel, CA. I suffered a TBI. My main problem now is that I cannot walk. Not because of loss of limbs. As I am strong and I can stand and move my legs. I am ataxic and just fall over. No balance at all. Anyone else have this problem? If so,, what can be done for it? ADDABAD@AOL.COM

HELLO
Hi all. I am new here. I was in a near fatal accident nearly eight years ago. I had the grave misfortune of colliding into six dead Wild Boar on highway one, just outside of Carmel, CA. I suffered a TBI. My main problem now is that I cannot walk. Not because of loss of limbs. As I am strong and I can stand and move my legs. I am ataxic and just fall over. No balance at all. Has anyone ever been tested for this or diagnosed with it? A lot of the symptoms sound familiar but I've had other things come up where I think I've figured out some way to feel better. I thought I had graves disease a few months ago and cried when I found out that I didn't. I don't take any meds at the moment but I didn't know that there are drugs to treat nausea and vertigo, such as those for the treatment of Meniere's disease.
