Upcoming Show

Where should the show go, as we will have 7 weekly focuses on -www.BrainInuryRadioNetwork.com only a couple of topics are set (in purple topic is set) show name could change

BrainInjuryRadio.com

VetRadio.net

StudentDisabilityradio.com

the following are possible topics and domains are owned
TBIRadio.com

CareGiverRadio.net

SupportGroupRadio.com

We have had several people say they want to do a show, I would like to know where they would like to fit in, and those who want to take on the topic lead, you will be responsible for 1 show a week (same day each week), coordinate with other hosts who would like to do one show a month, (so we will have 7 different shows, (ran by topic lead and that team) its your show it needs to be an expression of what you have to offer

The Shows will Air at 7PM pacific 10 PM Eastern (we are going to market the show to am radio stations to stream, so our quality of connection needs to be good for the hosts

Once we get up and rolling here is what we are going to be able to offer the hosts at no charge

(at this point we think we can keep this going with a community sponsorship)

Our Plan is to have 2 separate premium platforms, some of the hosts have said they wanted to do some day shows and East Coast Time Friendly shows, we are going to put out for a corporate sponsor for the network

Cost to operate

$5340.00 2 platforms up to 6 hours a day

$  800.00 7 domains for individual shows

$5000.00 (wish money)  to pay for the  banners and art for our hosts, so their shows go out looking sharp, custom show intros, webpages, archiving shows to access more listeners.

$1200.00 Misc administrative (copies, postage, flyers) we have a small printing budget (mainly black and white but top quality)

We have typically had two sponsors for the show but we are going to try to get one sponsor for the entire show leaving a space for the each show to get their own sponsors to help with their needs,  we will have to see how it goes- we will be looking for a organization to sponsor 10,000 and the rest via donations through out the year, going to offer t shirts  and baseball caps this next brain injury awareness month. march 2013

Its all up to you guys, its going to be your shows. let me know, i have chatted with several who wanted to host your own shows, can’t make it much easier than this – just need your commitment never to allow blank space, no one will want to stream us we do that – as long as your committed and play nice in the sand box with everyone the show is yours forever or till there comes a time we can’t afford to keep it going for some reason then you could have it if you were able to afford it.

Please let other TBI Survivors know of the following procedure to apply for federal employment WITHOUT the COMPETITIVE hiring oprocess. I plan to follow this this week.

http://www.usajobs.gov/IndividualsWithDisabilities

  • Through Schedule A: People with Mental Retardation, Severe Physical Disabilities, or Psychiatric Disabilities who have documentation from a licensed medical professional or other entity may apply for noncompetitive appointment through the Schedule A (5 CFR 213.3102(u)) hiring authority. Applicants with documentation may apply directly to agencies' Selective Placement Program Coordinators (SPPC) or equivalent to receive placement assistance.  Simply send a resume plus the proof of your disability and job certification documentation to the agency's SPPC or equivalent. A Sample Certification Letter can be downloaded for your provider's use.

NOTE: Indicate "5 CFR 213.3102(u)" on your resume or state you are a person with a disability eligible for a Schedule A appointment when applying for Federal positions on USAJOBS or through an agency's SPPC. A Sample Cover Letter is provided for your use.

"As for myself, I volunteer on good brain days.  That helps me feel productive.  With the economy the way it is, sometimes places don't even need volunteers, which hurts when your just trying to do something.  Keep on trying. David"
