Why
By Craig Sicilia
As we ponder things that once were.
We realize that everything is a blur.
Not one thing could we hope to change.
Oh how life can be so strange.
Memories of things we once loved.
Are now blank pages from up above
If we’re lucky enough to have some good.
Hold on tight to that warmth you should.
People come and people go so they say.
Have a brain injury and it’s gone in a day.
You stand there empty from the in side out.
And all you are left with is a lot of doubt.
As quick as a moment can come and go.
Not one person not one thing do you know.
As you heal and relearn what was lost
Your whole world and all you knew have forgot
The pain is real, the suffering is tough.
Hold on to love and hope it could be just enough
Through the valley of darkness did you travel
Only those of us who are in this club can ever gravel
Don’t be mad and don’t be sad
These are the things in life that we had.
Take it for all its worth good and bad
This is your path not just some fad.
As time moves on you will meet others.
You find out it just is what it is
Now you must make the best of each day.

In what I think is me coming to terms with all of this I can only hope I carry myself with as much class as you my friend. Thank you.( I needed that at this moment.)
